Most women have probably never been taught how to field dress or cape out their harvest. In fact, although I have been hunting for eleven years, I have never done either of these. Fortunately, not just for me, but for all hunters, GameButchers has developed a DVD, called After the Hunt, which explains how to quickly and easily prepare your trophy harvest for the taxidermist and/or the freezer. 
John Person, a professional game butcher of over 40 years, reveals his secrets in this instructional DVD, which is useful for any large game hunter. After viewing, you will have the basic fundamentals needed to complete the tasks of field dressing and caping of your trophy.
He slowly explains each step and illustrates his techniques with proper camera placement. He also includes a segment on necessary tools and on knife sharpening. This can be very helpful for a more experienced hunter, but also provides a newcomer with a basic overview of tool selection and maintenance.
Most of our reviewers found the DVD to be helpful for learning field dressing techniques. I, myself, was able to successfully field dress a deer without any assistance after watching the DVD. However, some observations for improvements were made such as increasing video lighting. Also, reviewers thought that some segments of the presentation seemed more appropriate for advanced hunters, while other segments were aimed at novice hunters. Clearly identifying experience levels for each segment would be beneficial for the viewer prior to watching the DVD.
This product offers women hunters important information about a crucial aspect of deer hunting: field dressing your harvest, something all women hunters should know how to do.
