Product Review: SIGG Thermal Bottle

The Swiss company, SIGG Bottles, manufactures one of the best eco-friendly and reusable thermal bottles on the market. The thermal bottle not only keeps hot beverages hot for over six hours; it keeps iced drinks cold for up to ten hours.

The SIGG thermal bottle is manufactured with fine Swiss quality and is durable and stylish. The high-grade steel, vacuum-insulated, double-walled design and durable stainless steel construction will not rust, tarnish, or stain. The interior of the bottle is designed to resist fruit acids and will not absorb any flavors or smells from liquids that have been stored in the bottle.

The leak-proof screw-on top is designed to loosen with half turns for convenient pouring. Another convenience is that the lid serves as a drinking cup. The double-walled construction does not allow the exterior of the bottle to get hot or cold from the beverage or soup contained inside.

Woman Hunter recently had the opportunity to review the SIGG 0.3 liter (10 ounce) thermal bottle and the consensus of the testers was overwhelmingly positive. It received excellent reviews from every tester. The product delivered in all aspects of its intended use: it kept hot liquids hot and cold liquids cold for many hours, it was well constructed, it did not leak and its size was convenient for on-the-go or for stashing in a fanny pack or hunting backpack.

The only feature that received an unfavorable mark by a number of testers was that the bottle was not large enough. Fortunately, SIGG offers two larger sized thermal bottles, an 0.7 liter (23 ounce) and a 1 liter (34 ounce), which can prove more handy for those who plan to consume larger amounts of liquid or to use the thermal bottle for a full day trip.

The SIGG thermal bottle is definitely an excellent addition to any hunter’s backpack for enjoying coffee or hot chocolate on icy mornings, or to hold a favorite soup or camp stew for lunch in the field.
