The Woman Hunter encourages submissions of stories, articles and features that would be of interest to our readers. Writers of articles chosen to be a season’s “Featured Article” on our website will receive a $50 gift certificate to their choice of the following: Cabela’s, Gander Mountain or Bass Pro.

A feature article is a special article chosen by the Senior Editor based on the following criteria: quality of the writing and ability to hold the interest of our readers.

We seek non-fiction articles about your true hunting experiences. Also, we encourage stories about how you came to be a woman hunter. We always encourage instructional articles and articles that provide tips on how to become a more successful hunter, whether in general or game-specific. Season-specific articles will be given special attention.

We reserve the right to edit articles for content and length. Submissions should be no more than 1000 words in length. 600 to 800 words are optimum, but all hunting-related articles are welcome. Hard copy submissions will not be accepted. We reserve the right to post or not post all articles submitted.

If we like your writing, but feel important details are missing from the article, we may ask you to revise and re-submit your article for publication. We hope that The Woman Hunter will encourage all ladies to improve their writing abilities and to share their hunting stories.
