I'm surprised to hear so many outfitters say they're not getting many women hunters. I've been on 3 guided hunts and 2 of them had other women hunting. The one that was only men was a pig hunt organized through work (a male-dominated automotive business).
Back to the topic, you've covered most of the items I like. Segregated sleeping areas (either all female bunk area or individual room to sleep with or without partner), sufficient bathrooms, comfortable lounge area.
I think the MOST important thing an outfitter can provide is respect. Pay attention to what we say. If you run into a quiet woman, ask her individually if there is anything you can do to make her stay better. I have seen women get frustrated because of an obnoxious, drunk or overbearing man running rampant. _________________ Lauren |

I know the hunting lodges in wyoming mostly have male hunters as guests, but I think that is going to change in the near future, I for one am trying to make that happen. I agree with you that not only a quiet woman needs to be asked on a one to one but all guests or at least we do at the 7wranch. It is paramount that all guests recieve respect from the owner and all! workers. We do not have a problem with that as it is myself and my partner that usually does it all and if we do hire from time and time again they are as good as well. Our ranch is a small drive from any towns and so when we do hire one it is usually someone that is not far off but on another ranch in the area and needs some extra work. We have a very respectable ranch and I do know about the places that there is a lot of stupid things going on due to the liquor that has been drank. we do have liquor but we have never had any one get disrespectful or stupid, I think they just know it is not tolerated at our ranch. Men can be very overpowering anywhere in life but I can assure you not in my world! Women deserve as much help and undivided attention as any man does. women have struggled for equal rights forever and by hanging in there and not giving up we have won and are the stronger working force in today's world. Do not get me wrong I love men and treat them as equal as a female but when they get that attitude I like to put them in their place, and all women have that right or at least I think so. I do special things for the female hunters. They all get a pink cap and neck scarf among other things when they arrive. I get nothing but the best of toiletry supplies. Excellent bedding and a very clean lodge. I try and accommodate each guest in every way so they are all very satisfied. The little things that are important to us ladies and not so much to men I can assure all you women that they are not over looked at our ranch. I have 0 tolerance for the drunk and obnoxious rather it is female or male. I want everyone to have a great time and feel they got well over their cost. _________________ we offer Deer, Antelope,Turkey and prairie dogs to hunt at affordable prices.
